The Dallas Conservatory's Great Outdoor Adventure Year-End Recital

We are thrilled to announce Recital 2022, Great Outdoor Adventure! Please mark your calendars for Saturday, May 14, 2022, 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM.  (There will be a rain date of May 15th in case of inclement weather)

Recital for both the Dallas and Frisco campuses will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at The Sound at Cypress Waters.  The end-of-year performance will be a continuous day-long dance festival!  You will be able to come and go as you please to watch the program.
The Sound at Cypress Waters has a wonderful outdoor amphitheater where our students will perform and in addition to the amphitheater, there is plenty of fun for the whole family!  The area includes fun restaurants such as Eno’s Pizza, The Flying Fish, Landon Winery, Ascension coffee, and many others!  The outdoor lawn has family-friendly games of ping pong, bean bag toss, lawn chess, and much more! We hope this event proves to be a fun event for the entire family!

Performer Information

When: Saturday, May 14 2022 (Rain date: May 15) 9:30-7:00. Your dancer is required to be at the venue 30 minutes before their class’ performance time listed on the show order: Recital 2022 Show Order Once your child has finished their dance, parents will pick them up on the side of the stage and the dancers are dismissed. However, the show runs all day so you’re welcome to come as early and stay as late as you’d like!
Where: The Sound at Cypress Waters. This venue is outdoors with lawn seating that is first come first served. No chairs are allowed on the lawn, but there is a small sidewalk area where you can put chairs for those who are unable to get on and off the ground. The Sound has plenty of restaurants and activities, so bring the whole family for a day of fun!
Changing Room: If your child is in multiple dances, we have a designated space for them to change costumes. We have rented an upstairs room called “Town Hall” above Eno’s Pizza, near where our drop-off tables will be. The stairs can be seen from the drop-off tables, and the elevator is through an entrance on the other side of the building.
Volunteers: We need 1-2 parent volunteers for each class to help the day run smoothly. Being a parent volunteer couldn’t be easier! Responsibilities are: waiting at the drop-off table for the class to arrive, helping walk the class down to the stage, helping change their shoes, and waiting with the class until everyone has been picked up. As soon as their shoes are changed, you join your family and friends on the lawn to watch your dancer perform, so you won’t miss a thing! If you are interested in being your class’ volunteer, please fill in your name next to your class: Parent Volunteer Sign-Up Recital 2022
Flowers: Celebrate your dancer! Beautiful bouquets from Fleurs & Events may be ordered through this form and picked up on the day of the show at the venue. To order, please fill out the Recital 2022 Bouquet Order Form. The last day to pre-order bouquets is May 5, 2022 so don’t wait!
5th + 10th Year Awards: Has your student been dancing with The Dallas Conservatory for 5 or 10 years? We would like to recognize this achievement at the year-end recital. Please email us at [email protected] if your child qualifies!
DVD Pre-Order Form:  TDC’s Great Outdoor Adventure will be filmed by Perfect Eye Productions.  If you would like to purchase a DVD or Digital File of your dancer’s performance please use this order form. To know which DVD to order please locate your dancer’s performance # to ensure you order the correct portion of the show.  DVD/Digital Order Form
Recital T-Shirts: Order TDC Great Outdoor Adventure Recital T-Shirts by Sunday, May 8th  Order T-Shirts
Costumes: We will be distributing costumes in class all throughout the month of April and into May. Once you have your costume, please don’t let your child wear it at home! There is no time to order a new one if yours gets ripped or stained, so the costume will need to stay in the bag or on a hanger until showtime (except for picture day if you have a time slot reserved). Each class will have its own costume sheet that will include information such as hairstyle, shoes and tights, makeup, and any other special instructions from your teacher. Those will be posted here when they are available.
