Dear Families of The Dallas Conservatory,
We are devastated to announce a venue change for our 15th Annual Dallas Campus Spring Recital, “Dancin’ On Air” that is scheduled for tomorrow, May 6th.
Our original venue, The Statler Hotel, has had major mechanical issues and cannot guarantee that they will be corrected in time before our show. The health and safety of our families are always our first priority and we have made the difficult decision to change the recital to Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre.

Our schedule will remain the same. Valet parking is discounted to $15 and you will pay at the front desk.
This is not the event we had planned to celebrate all the wonderful accomplishments of our TDC dancers and we are truly heartbroken. However, we know that our dancers will still shine and we cannot wait to share their beautiful performances with you tomorrow.
SHOW DAY:
The show begins promptly at 9:30, but you are only required to be there 45 minutes before your dancer’s performance time. For example, if your dancer performs at 1:00, you need to arrive at the venue at 12:15. You will drop off your dancer at their designated drop-off table in the dressing room at the time listed on the show order document. TDC faculty, staff, and parent volunteers will take the class to the stage when it’s time. We recommend arriving in full hair and make-up, there will be a place to put on your performer’s costume. After the class performs, you will pick up your dancer on the right side of the stage. If your dancer is in multiple classes, there is a designated dressing area. You are welcome to stay for the whole day and enjoy the wonderful show and venue, but your dancer is dismissed once their class is finished on stage.
Below is the show order with the class, the piece they are performing, drop-off times/tables, and performance times. This show order is set, and no changes are able to be made. Please note that at the end of the day, there will be a special celebration time filled with raffles, games, dessert, and a silent auction benefiting some very special dancers 5:30-6:15 pm followed by an incredible musical theater performance by our acting department. We would love you and your family to stay, or come back and celebrate with us if your dancer performs earlier in the day!
TICKETS:
Those attending the performance will need to purchase a ticket to the event. Tickets are $15 and will give you access all day to the performances. Those without tickets will not be allowed into the theater. Parents volunteering to help backstage will receive free admission to the event!!
VOLUNTEERS:
We can’t pull off a show of this scale without your help! We need 1-2 parent volunteers for each class to help things run smoothly. Being a parent volunteer couldn’t be easier! Your responsibilities are: waiting at the drop off table for the class to arrive, helping walk the class down to the stage, helping change their shoes, and waiting with the class until everyone has been picked up. That’s it! As soon as their shoes are changed, you join your family and friends on the lawn to watch your dancer perform, so you won’t miss a thing!

Celebrate your dancer! Beautiful bouquets from Fleurs & Events may be ordered through this form and picked up on the day of the show at the venue. To order, please fill out the Recital 2023 Bouquet Order Form. The last day to pre-order bouquets is April 27th, 2023 so don’t wait!

TDC’s Dancin’ On Air will be filmed by Perfect Eye Productions. If you would like to purchase a DVD or Digital File of your dancer’s performance, please use this order form. To know which DVD to order please locate your dancer’s performance # to ensure you order the correct portion of the show.
