Selected dancers will represent both Frisco and Dallas locations. Dancers will rehearse primarily near their base location.

COMPANY DESCRIPTIONS

The Dallas Conservatory’s NEW Bitty Company (Ages 4-5)

For our youngest artists who show talent and drive, we create an atmosphere for students to develop the skills that will ensure a rewarding experience performing as an important member of a team (“company” as we say in dance). Bitty Company dancers learn discipline, technical skills, artistry, team accountability and the skill of projecting joy and positivity.

Bitty Company dancers have special performance opportunities and participate in one regional convention/competitions in the spring where they compete as a company and take classes from inspiring Master Teachers.

Students follow an advanced track of classes designed to prepare, encourage, and grow in the art of Dance. See requirements below.

The Dallas Conservatory’s NEW Petite Company (Ages 6-7)

For our youngest artists who show talent and drive, we create an atmosphere for students to develop the skills that will ensure a rewarding experience performing as an important member of a team (“company” as we say in dance). Petite Company dancers learn discipline, technical skills, artistry, team accountability and the skill of projecting joy and positivity.

Petite Company dancers have special performance opportunities and participate in one regional convention/competitions in the spring where they compete as a company and take classes from inspiring Master Teachers.

Students follow an advanced track of classes on Fridays, designed to prepare, encourage, and grow in the art of Dance.

The Dallas Conservatory’s Mini Company (Ages 6-8)

For young artists who show talent and drive, we create an atmosphere for students to develop the skills that will ensure a rewarding experience performing as an important member of a team (“company” as we say in dance). Mini Company dancers learn discipline, technical skills, artistry, team accountability and the skill of projecting joy and positivity.

Mini Company dancers have special performance opportunities and participate in regional convention/competitions where they compete as a company and take classes from inspiring Master Teachers.

Students follow an advanced track of classes designed to prepare, encourage, and grow in the art of Dance. See requirements below.

The Dallas Conservatory’s Pre-Professional Company (Ages 8-18)

Since 2011, TDC’s Ore-Professional performing company has dazzled audiences and impressed judges with spirited, memorable performances in all genres of dance, from classical ballet at the Majestic Theater,   to hip hop at the Mavericks’ games! No matter the venue, our performances are rich with the technique, artistry, and passion that is born of world-class training and detailed rehearsals.

The Dallas Conservatory’s Studio Company (Ages 9-18)

We are thrilled to offer an additional performance track for our students at The Dallas Conservatory! The Studio Company is geared towards dancers needing flexibility in their class schedule to study a multitude of styles, while having the ability to be involved in extra-curricular programs at school. Dancers will have the opportunity to take many different technique classes, learn challenging choreography, compete and perform at regional events, as well as other community outreach performances at a level of excellence that is standard at The Dallas Conservatory.

COMPANY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bitty Company meets Mondays 4:45-5:30 PM 
  • Petite Company meets Fridays in Dallas 4:00-6:45 PM 
  • Mini Company meets twice a week 4:15-7:15 PM.
  • Studio Company weekly class requirements maintain between 6-10 training hours. 

 Company Fees:

  • Company Fees
    • Mini & Studio Company $65/month
  • Costume Fees ($75 per dance), generally 2 costumes
  • Competition Fees ($35-$40 per dance/per competition)
    • Mini Dancers will compete 2 dances at 2 different competitions in the spring
    • Studio Dancers will compete 2-5 dances at 3 different competitions in the spring
  • Convention Fee ($175-$200)
    • Dancers will attend one local dance convention where they will take classes from Master Teachers
Required Summer Training:

For possible admittance to the Studio Companies, 4 weeks of TDC International Summer Dance Intensive.
