Megan Weber

Associate Artistic Director | Frisco Campus

Lara “Megan” Weber has 20+ years of experience in educating artists of the future. She relocated to Dallas, Texas in 2020 and was named Associate Artistic Director at The Dallas Conservatory.  Megan graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a degree in elementary education with a concentration in Math and Science.  While expediting her program of study and completing her degree in three years, she still found time to dance with the university dance company, pursue long distance running competitively, and marry her soul mate.  During her 10 years in the academic classroom, she started her own daycare and dance company in southeast Kansas.   At MW Performing Arts she not only taught dance and theater to children in a rural community that would otherwise not have had access, she showed them that no dream is too big.

Megan has trained and mentored dancers from their first steps to their professional careers, including her own 5 children.   Her passion for service led to the birth of Bright Lights, Big Hearts, a non-profit talent showcase where all proceeds benefit at-risk youth in the community.    Her choreography has been showcased regionally and nationally on stages including Youth America Grand Prix, New York City Dance Alliance, and DanceOne.  During her time as a Miss Kansas regional director, her production pieces were a highlight for the national state princess program. When not working in the world of fine arts, Megan prides herself in holding her crop insurance license and assisting her husband with the family business, Weber Seed Service.

As an educator, Lara “Megan” Weber is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of dancers, emphasizing the strengths of each performer, while focusing on each individual goal and aspiration her students have set for themselves. In every lesson she takes enormous pride in lifting up each young artist, taking in the industry’s reality but encouraging them to strive for their own greatness.

In addition to her 20 years of dance training and performance experience, Megan holds the highest-level certifications in Acrobatics, Strength + Flexibility and Progressing Ballet Technique.   In her classes, students can expect a blend of rigorous technical training and creative choreography, all designed to challenge and inspire.  Megan is not just a teacher, but a mentor and an inspiration to her students, encouraging them to reach their fullest potential both in dance and in life. With a passion for performance that is as infectious as it is profound, Megan continues to leave a lasting impact on the dance world, one student at a time.
