Clair Culin

CLAIR CULIN re-located from Atlanta in 2012 to teach and choreograph for The Dallas Conservatory. In 2018 she was named Associate Artistic Director, as well as The Dallas Conservatory’s dance company, Dallas Youth Ballet.

Prior to moving to Dallas, Clair was Associate Artistic Director at Steppin’ Up Dance in Georgia, teaching and choreographing for their company.

Clair earned a BS in Early Childhood Education at The University of Georgia, which she followed up with a certification by Dance Masters of America, certifying her to teach all ages and levels of dance. Clair has taught dance in private academic schools as well as private dance schools.

As a dancer, Clair has danced professionally on the contemporary concert stage, and commercially for companies including Avis and the Georgia Lottery. She was trained in all dance disciplines at Gwinnett Ballet Theatre, Southern Dance Connection and the University of Georgia.

As a busy choreographer and coach, Clair has set award-winning pieces and coached award-winning dancers, most recently for Dallas Youth Ballet. Previously she worked with competition teams for dance studios throughout Atlanta including Roswell City Dance Company. Clair also choreographs for the musical theatre and has worked with high schools and community theatres.

As Director of Dance, Clair co-founded The Dallas Conservatory’s Mini and Preparatory dance companies in 2014 along with Jacqueline Porter.
