Elective Courses

FINE ARTS/LANGUAGE ELECTIVES (FAL)

Courses are semester-long courses, with Fall and Spring sessions. These courses are meant to introduce students to new disciplines, or to further their foundation within their declared major. For example, a pianist could take Music Appreciation as his FAL, and Group Piano as his Declared Major Training (DMT.)

FAL Offerings for 2019-2020 include:

  • Music (Appreciation)
  • Voice (Choral with sight-reading)
  • Theater (Appreciation)
  • Dance (Appreciation/immersion)
  • Foreign Language (Spanish and French)
  • Creative Writing
  • Interdisciplinary Studies

FAL courses are scheduled between 9:00 – 9:45 AM and 2:15 – 4:00 PM Monday – Thursday.  All FAL courses are taught by our highly trained and qualified faculty and guest faculty.
