The Dallas Conservatory (TDC) is a private performing arts school for talented and serious students of dance, theater and voice, ages 8-18. Founded in 2010 by Jacqueline Porter, TDC offers world-class training and performance opportunities to prepare for a possible professional career.
Students are selected by audition for their professional potential and mental readiness to embark on the vigorous training required to turn passion for the arts into a profession. TDC students are trained, monitored and mentored, in a positive and nurturing environment, to be competitive for 1) admission into America’s top arts universities, summer programs and apprentice companies, 2) college and summer scholarship offers, and 3) professional contracts.
Roughly 20% of The Dallas Conservatory’s students attend our elite academic program, TDC Academy, a daytime program with flexible academics for pre-professional students ages 10-18.
DYB (Dallas Youth Ballet, ages 9-18) is the performing dance company of The Dallas Conservatory. Auditions are held in August for TDC students Ballet Level III/IV and above.
C.A.S.T. (Company of Actors, Singers and Triple Threats, ages 8-18), is the performing musical theater company of both schools. The annual C.A.S.T. is selected by audition each Fall.
TDC’s Mini and Prep Dance Companies (ages 6-9, 8-12) are for Park Cities Studios students wishing to accelerate their progress with more performance, selected by audition each Fall.
